Tracy began her career in the veterinary field at Dunrobin Veterinary Clinic when she was 16. She continued to work at a variety of veterinary clinics in the Ottawa Valley, and moved to British Columbia to gain wildlife experience at the Kamloops Wildlife Park.  Tracy settled down and managed Britannia Heights Veterinary Clinic in 2001 until September 2015.

Tracy enjoys all aspects of animals, her personal interest is animal behaviour, neonatal care, nutrition and senior pet care.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, doing crafts and cross-stich.

Bekah graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Algonquin Colege in 2015 and continued her education to become certified in canine physical rehabilitation.

In her spare time, she enjoys going for nature walks, playing video games and lounging on the couch with her pups.

Facility Maintenance (Nanny & Paw)

Dave and Kris are Tracy’s parents.  They have created and sold many successful businesses.  They are going to renovate and maintain the kennel facility.

In their spare time, they enjoy their grandchildren, organizing a washer league, playing cards and hand darts.  Dave enjoys wood working and puttering around the garage and home improvements.  Kris enjoys crafting, Red Hats Society and always up to try a new recipe.

Skylar has always had a passion for animals.  She has completed many dog training camps and gets great satisfaction teach old dogs new tricks!

Skylar enjoys spending time with the family dogs and cats, her cockatiels and pet rats.

In her spare time, Skylar enjoys playing Minecraft and Sims.

Jackey has compassion for animals and loves spending time with her parrot Bella.

She finds joy in taking care of her dachshund ‘Brodie’ and laughs at the many silly things he does.  She has taught him to read…… she holds up a sign that says ‘wag your tail’, amazingly, he wags his tail!

In her spare time, Jackey enjoys watching videos and spending time in the kitchen creating new meal ideas and baking treats for humans and dogs.

Maddie is an energetic little girl who loves to interact with dogs.  She enjoys walking them and takes great pleasure in training them as well.

In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her older sisters and riding her bike.

Grace is Tracy’s niece and has been helping out at the kennel since the fall of 2017. Her calm, soft-spoken nature is well received by our guests and look forward to showing her their tricks. Grace engages our guests with tricks and toys, leaving them exhausted for a good nights sleep. In her spare time, Grace enjoys the outdoors with her dog, Flynn. Enjoys singing and songwriting and is always up for a game of basketball.

Kirby is a happy black lab mix, that was born in 2008.  She joined the Murray Family as a puppy and enjoys people and animals alike.
Brody

Facility Joker (Joker)

Brody is a miniature dachshund that joined the Murray Family as a gift for Jackey in 2012.  Brody has a big personality in a tiny body.  He is always making us laugh.  He likes to think that he is part of the ‘big dog’ pack, but doesn’t leave the front step when the action happens.  He enjoys playing with the big dogs and often trips them by running into their front legs.  Brody also enjoys playing with his best friend, Kristoff the cat.

Richard Murray, DVM

Facility Veterinarian (Doc Doggie)

Dr. Richard Murray graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph in 1992. He created his own small animal practice Britannia Heights Veterinary Clinic in West Ottawa.  Richard worked as a general practitioner until the sale of Britannia Heights Veterinary Clinic in September of 2015.

Richard enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, his personal interests are in internal medicine and endocrinology.  He has performed a variety of surgical procedure throughout his career.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing hockey, golf and hand darts.
